Women’s Golf In Second After First Round Of LSU Tiger Classic

BATON ROUGE, La. – The NC State women's golf team posted a 305 (+17) on Friday to open the LSU Tiger Classic in Baton Rouge, La., and sit in a tie for second out of 12 teams.
Held at The University Club, Houston leads the field with a nine-over par 297 while host LSU shares the tie for second with the Wolfpack.
Three Pack players sit among the top 20 of the individual standings. India Clyburn leads the way as she is tied for fourth after shooting 74 (+2) in the first round of the tournament. Naomi Ko is tied for ninth while Laura Kowohl is T19th with scores of 75 and 77, in respective order.
Cecily Overbey shot 79 (+7) and is in a tie for 29th while Mim Sangkapong and Monika Hartl, who is competing as an individual, both turned in a 10-over par 82 to share a tie for 46th.
The Pack will continue play at the LSU Tiger Classic Saturday. Teams will begin teeing off at 9:30 a.m. ET on Nos. 1 and 10.
