The Wolfpack Takes the Gamecocks to a 10-Point Tiebreaker
Chapel Hill, N.C. — The NC State women's tennis team was represented by junior Anna Rogers and freshman Alana Smith in the ITA Carolina Regional Doubles Semifinal on Sunday. Smith and Rogers fell to Davies and Rohrabacher of South Carolina.
The Wolfpack jumped ahead early, claiming the first two games of the first set. Dropping the third game, the Pack bounced back, taking the first set. Smith and Rogers battled in the second set, but ultimately fell to Davies and Rohrabacher to force a 10-point tiebreaker.
In the 10-point tiebreaker for a spot in the Doubles Finals, the Wolfpack led 4-2. The Gamecocks went on an 8-0 run to win the tiebreaker.
