Kowohl Remains In Top Five Through Two Rounds Of Regional Play

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Sophomore Laura Kowohl of the NC State women's golf team remains in the top five of the NCAA Albuquerque Regional individual standings after turning in a one-over 73 on Tuesday to sit in a tie for fourth.
She opened play on Monday with a 69 (-3) to lead the 96-player field.
Hosted by the University of New Mexico at the UNM Championship Course, the Wolfpack (+19, 595) moved down two spots on the leaderboard to T10th after posting a six-over 294 in round two.
Stanford (-3, 573), Pepperdine (+1, 577) and Southern Cal (+4, 580) continue to hold the top three spots in the team standings.
Sarah Bae and India Clyburn both carded team-low 72s (E), as Bae moved up to T27th in the individual standings and Clyburn shaved seven strokes off her round one score to sit at T48th.
Leonie Bettel turned in a 77 (+5) and Naomi Ko shot 82 (+10) to sit at T81st and 89th, in respective order.
NC State will wrap up play Wednesday at the NCAA Albuquerque Regional, and will be paired with competitors from Campbell and SMU between 9:30 and 10:06 a.m. ET off hole 10. Live scoring will be available on GolfStat.com.
The top six teams and three individuals (not on a qualifying team) from the regional will advance to the NCAA Championship in Sugar Grove Ill., which will take place May 19-24 at the Rich Harvest Farms.
