BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. - Rachael Taylor and India Clyburn are each in the top 20 after Friday's first round of the Bryan National Collegiate. Taylor and Clyburn each shot 2-over and are tied for 15th place.
ROUND 1 RESULTS | ROUND 2 TEE TIMES
The Wolfpack landed in ninth place after the first round, just five shots out of sixth place. Sarah Bae, who was the top scorer for the Pack in the last tournament, shots 5-over 77 while Naomi Ko and Laura Kowohl each finished 7-over par.
Virginia (+1) leads the tournament by eight shots over Notre Dame and South Carolina. Miami and Wake Forest (+10) are tied for fourth in the 15-team field.
The tournament's second round continues Saturday morning. Kowohl will be the first Wolfpack player to tee off, starting on the 10th hole at 8:30 a.m.
