Four from the women's tennis team advance in single and doubles play at the ITA Carolina's Regional

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Four from the Pack continue on the path to the finals in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Carolina's Regional at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.
Martina Frantova, Joanna Nalborska and Amanda Rebol each collected a pair of wins in the first two rounds of singles play on Friday, earning spots in the round of 16 bracket.
In round of 32 play, Rebol earned a weighted 7-5, 4-1 victory over her No. 84 ranked opponent, Kimmy Guerin of Wake Forest. Match was retired due to injury.
Claudia Wiktorin saw victory in round of 64 competition, defeating Victoria Pahlett of Charlotte 6-1, 2-6, 6-2 before falling to the No. 4 seed, Jessie Aney of UNC 6-1, 6-4 in round of 32 draws.
Remaining Wolfpack main draw contenders Barbara Mancera, Bianca Moldovan and Tayla Stenta all faced losses in their round of 64 matches on Friday morning.
The Frantova and Wiktorin duo followed up its success on day one with another bracket win in round of 16 play. The pair earned a victory over Clare Cox and Heidi Swope of App. State, advancing to a quarterfinal contest with the No. 4 seed Hadley Berg and Brigit Folland of USC.
Frantova and Wiktorin now hold a 4-1 duo record for the season.
Wolfpack women's tennis will continue play at the ITA Carolina's Regional with round of 16 and quarterfinals singles draws and doubles quarterfinals Saturday beginning at 9 a.m.
