Tsui Leads Wolfpack After First Day Of Landfall

WILMINGTON, N.C. - The NC State women's golf team stands 17th after the first day of the Landfall Tradition, hosted by UNC Wilmington. The tournament features 12 nationally-ranked teams.
Vivian Tsui (+6) shot a team-best 78 and is tied for 39th overall after 18 holes. Teammates Rachael Taylor and Brittany Marchand were one shot behind at 79. Ana Menendez (+15) rounded out the lineup with a round of 87. NC State is seven shots ahead of UNC Greensboro, and just two shots behind Iowa State.
Alabama (285) leads the field, followed by Duke (295) and South Carolina (300).
The fifth Wolfpack player, Augusta James, did not finish her round due to illness. She plans to play Saturday and Sunday, according to head coach Page Marsh.
NC State's Saturday tee times begin at 8:30 a.m.
