
Women's Golf Finishes 6th at ACC Championship

The NC State women's golf team finished sixth at the 2012 ACC Women's Golf Championship, held this weekend at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. The Pack jumped one spot in today's final round thanks to a tournament-best round of 12-over 296, and NC State finished the three-round event at 57-over 909.
The Pack was led by its sophomore duo of Brittany Marchand and Ana Menendez, both of whom brought home top-20 finishes. Marchand finished 14th overall, at 13-over 226. Menendez was one shot back in 17th place, at 14-over 227.
Freshman Augusta James placed 22nd at 16-over 229. Rounding out the Pack golfers, Amanda Baker was 31st at 21-over 234, and freshman Vivian Tsui was 35th at 22-over 235.
Duke led wire-to-wire, as the Blue Devils finishes at 23-over 875. The nation's No. 1 ranked golfer, Lindy Duncan of Duke, claimed medalist honors as she was the only golfer under par at 3-under 210, a six stroke victory.
