No. 40 FSU Tops NC State

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State women's tennis team fell to No. 40 Florida State, 5-2, at home on Saturday. The Pack dropped to 5-10 (1-3 ACC) on the year, while the Seminoles picked up their first ACC win of the season to improve to 8-5 (1-3 ACC).
Ashley Miller and Joelle Kissell teamed up to defeat the Florida State doubles team of Francesca Segarelli and Ruth Seaborne 8-6, in the No. 1 position, but the Seminoles won the remaining two doulbes competitions to take the point.
In singles action, both teams had an injury default, with Chloe Smith getting the win when Carolina De los Santos defaulted in the No. 4 spot, and Florida State picking up a point whne Tatiana Illova was injured in the No. 2 position.
Joelle Kissell battled back to win in the No. 1 position, after dropping the first set, 3-6. She won the next two sets 6-1, 6-4, to take the point.
NC State will return to action on Sunday against No. 6 Miami. The match will take place at the J.W. Isenhower Tennis Center, and is set to begin at 1 p.m.
