KNOXVILLE, N.C. - No. 33 NC State fell to No. 22 Tulsa at the ITA Kickoff at the University of Tennessee on Friday. The Wolfpack dropped the match to the Golden Hurricane by a score of 4-1. NC State will return to action on Saturday at 10 a.m., in the consolation match.
Elisha Hande defeated Isaura Enrique, 6-4, 6-4, to pick up the Wolfpack's only win of the day.
The Wolfpack will face the loser of the Tennessee-UC Davis match, which will take place at 2 p.m. today. Tennessee is currently ranked No. 19, while UC Davis is No. 58.
