Derrey, Saleeby Lead Wolfpack Women's Golf in New Mexico

LAS CRUCES, N.M. Stephanie Derrey and Joanna Saleeby fired matching rounds of two-over 74 to position the NC State women’s golf team in seventh place after the first round of the 2007 Price’s “Give Em Five” Invitational.
The field of 16 teams are competing at the New Mexico State University Golf Course, a par-72, 6,319-yard track.
NC State fired a team score of 303, which puts the team only five shots behind first-round leader Missouri (298) entering the second round on Tuesday. Oklahoma and UC Davis are two shots in back of the Tigers at 300, followed by Kansas, Michigan and Idaho at 302, and then the Wolfpack.
Derrey and Saleeby are tied for 10th among the 89 individuals in the field.
Lauren Doughtie is tied for 25th after shooting a four-over 76.
Emily Street and Julie Saleeby are tied for 54th at seven-over 79.
Michelle Morgan leads at 3 (69) among 89 golfers in the field.
The second round continues tomorrow with a shotgun start at 8 am (MDT).
