Mountcastle Leads Wolfpack After Two Rounds

BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. - Nancy Mountcastle leads the NC State women's golf team after two rounds of the Bryan National Collegiate at seven strokes over par, firing five over in the second round on Saturday to slip to 18th place. The Wolfpack is tied for ninth place heading into the final round at the par 72 Bryan Park Champions Course.
Molly Birmingham also shot five over in the second round and trails Stephanie Derrey by one stroke at nine over. Lorraine Ballerano is 11 over and Jessica Vincent is also competing for NC State.
Georgia leads the 17-team field at 15 over and the Bulldogs' Taylor Leon is tied for first place individually with Elizabeth Janangelo from Duke at even par. The Bryan National Collegiate concludes Sunday with a final round of 18 holes. Complete results, as well as live scoring, are available at www.golfstat.com.
