
NC State Dominates No. 67 Virginia Tech, 6-1

RALEIGH - N.C. - One day after barely falling to No. 14 Virginia Commonwealth, the NC State women's tennis team (4-1) was able to rebound and upset another nationally ranked competitor.
The Wolfpack got off to a hot start with Barbara Orlay and Nandita Chandrasekar defeating No. 37 Elissa Kindard and Felice Lam. NC State then won the next two doubles matches to obtain a 1-0 point start to the match.
In singles competition, NC State secured five of six victories. Senior Jennifer Jassawalla improved to 5-0 for the season with her three set victory over Ashley James. Freshman Agustina Arechevaleta and sophomores Nandita Chandrasekar and Barbara Orlay each advanced to 4-1 after winning their matches. Kristin Lam also improved to 3-1 with a two set win.
The Wolfpack will travel to Norfolk, Virginia to take on Old Dominion this Friday. After returning home they will host Campbell on Tuesday, March 2. The match will take place at the Varsity Courts on NC State campus and is scheduled to begin at 2:30 pm.
