
Pack Finishes Seventh at the Lady Boilermaker

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- NC State improved its team score after firing a 310 in the final round of the Lady Boilermaker, and finished in seventh place overall with a three day mark of 938. Briana Vega was the Wolfpack's low scorer for the tournament. The junior finished in a tie for 16th with a total of 230, and had her best round early Saturday morning. Sunday's low round for the Wolfpack was posted by Erica Wein. She finished with a round of 73, just one-over-par.
Wein was second on the Wolfpack's scoring list with a 235 after rounds of 82-80-73. Courtney Pomeranz was consistent with three-rounds of 79 to turn in a card of 237 and finish with a share of 36th.
Colby Cobb and Sarah Bonner finished in the top 50 of the field, just one stroke a part from one another. Cobb finished with a line of 83-80-79=242 and a share of 47th, while Bonner was 84-80-79=243 on the tournament and finished tied for 50th. Leslie Stubblefield finished in 73rd with a three-round total of 257.
The Wolfpack now turns its head to the ACC Tournament, which will be held at the Salem Glen Golf Course in Clemmons, N.C. The team will count on a strong performance to help its chances of qualifying for the East Regional, which will also be held on the same course. Action is slated to being on Friday, and will last through Sunday with three rounds and 54 holes scheduled for play.
