Sadie Engelhardt Breaks 800m School Record at Duke Invitational

DURHAM, N.C. - NC State track & field wrapped up competition at the Duke Invitational with a standout performance from Sadie Engelhardt, who etched her name in the record books in the women's 800 meters.

Engelhardt delivered a historic run, clocking 2:02.31 to finish second overall while setting a new school record in the event. She headlined a strong showing for the Wolfpack, which saw multiple podium finishes, personal bests and a relay victory to close the meet.

On the track, the men's 4x400 relay team of Palmer Smith, Rance Springs, James Coleman and Christian Parker raced to a first-place finish in 3:08.49.

Field events proved to be a major strength for the Wolfpack in Durham. Ryan John claimed the triple jump title with a mark of 15.57m, followed closely by David Coles in second (15.51m). On the women's side, Mariama Hunt finished second with a mark of 12.57m.

In the long jump, Tyson Adams added a runner-up finish (7.42m), while Elyssia Fisher posted a personal-best 6.15m to place second.
