Engelhardt Sets New NC State & ACC 1500m Record at Wake Forest Invitational

RALEIGH, N.C. - For the second time this outdoor season, Sadie Engelhardt set a new school record, this time in the 1500m at the Wake Forest Invitational, just one week after breaking the 800m record at the Duke Invitational.
Engelhardt clocked 4:03.28 to finish second in her heat, a mark that is also a new ACC Record. Her time ranks No. 2 in the NCAA this season and No. 5 all-time
Kate Putman got the weekend started on Thursday with a strong steeplechase debut at Wake Forest, placing fourth overall and recording the No. 3 time in program history with a time of 9:56.26. Her mark currently sits at No. 4 in the NCAA this season.
On Friday night, Elliott McArthur competed in the 1500m invite, finishing fourth in his heat with a time of 3:41.52, the sixth-fastest mark in school history.
