#21 Pack Secures Second-Place Finish at Ohio State Quad

COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 21 NC State gymnastics scored a 196.625 at the Ohio State Quad, topping No. 16 Penn State (196.550) and Eastern Michigan (194.725) while finishing second to host No. 20 Ohio State (197.150), which secured the victory on the final routine of the afternoon.
The Pack earned the vault title from Syniya Thomas, who recorded a career-high 9.900 for the second meet in a row. Lauren Wright and Emerson Fisk also added career-best scores to the rotation as NC State posted the top team score on the event with a 49.175.
The Wolfpack also claimed a bars win from Katie Harper, her first of the season, as she tied for first place in a five-way tie with a 9.900. The score marked Harper's 11th career 9.900+ on bars, moving her into sole possession of second place in program history for most 9.900+ scores on the event.
Bars (49.275)
NC State opened the afternoon on bars with Ava Myers matching her career high with a 9.850. Fisk followed with a career-best 9.825.
Caroline Volk and Elle Hadrick each added 9.850s before Harper anchored the lineup with her 11th career 9.900+ on bars to close the rotation.
Beam (48.900)
The Pack moved to beam next, scoring a 48.900. Adasyn Tackett led the lineup with a 9.850, while Autumn Rardin added a 9.825.
Floor (49.250)
NC State recorded a 49.250 on floor in the third rotation. The final three routines paced the lineup as Rardin, Hadrick and Thomas each scored 9.875. Meg Adler added a 9.850 to round out the scores of 9.800 or better.
Vault (49.175)
The Wolfpack closed the meet on vault with the highest team score on the event of the afternoon, posting a 49.175. Wright opened the lineup with a 9.875 before Fisk added a career-best 9.850.
Thomas earned the event title in the anchor spot with a 9.900 to match her personal best, marking the eighth score of 9.900 or higher in her career. Maddie Hall added a 9.800 in the rotation.
