
NC State Prepares for ACC Gymnastics Championship

RALEIGH, N.C. – After securing its third straight win to close out the regular season, the 19th-ranked NC State gymnastics team will begin its postseason at the ACC Gymnastics Championship on March 22 in Greensboro, N.C., during Session II at 7 p.m. ET. The meet will be streamed live on ACC Network.

THE STAGE IS SET
No. 3 NC State will compete in Session II of a quad meet where the top four teams in the conference will vie for the title of ACC champion. The Wolfpack will face No. 1 Cal, No. 2 Stanford, and No. 4 North Carolina.

PACK IN THE POLLS
NC State is currently ranked 19th in the nation and third in the ACC. The Pack ranks 19th on vault, 24th on bars, 28th on beam, and 20th on floor.
Chloe Negrete is currently tied for first on beam (9.925 NQS, 9.885 average, 9.975 high) in the conference, alongside Cal's Mya Lauzon and Stanford's Brenna Neault.
2024 ACC CHAMPIONSHIP REWIND
The Wolfpack secured its first ACC Championship since 1984 by posting a score of 197.550 at the Greensboro Coliseum. This performance marked the highest road score in program history. Individual titles were claimed by Ashley Knight on vault (9.900), Chloe Negrete on beam (9.950) and floor (9.975), and Emily Shepard in the all-around (39.500).
NC State posted the second-highest score of the Kim Landrus era and the third-highest in program history during the monumental meet, tallying a 197.550 — the program's highest score ever in a postseason meet.
The Pack won four individual ACC titles in addition to the team crown, as Chloe Negrete posted meet-high scores of 9.950 on beam and 9.975 on floor to become the league's ACC Individual Champion on each event. Ashley Knight earned vault champion honors with a 9.900.
Emily Shepard claimed the all-around title with a score of 39.500, topping fellow four-event competitors Rebecca Wells of Clemson and the duo of Gwen Fink and Julia Knower of North Carolina to win the second all-around title of her career at a conference championship meet.
Shepard was also named ACC Gymnast of the Year, becoming the first gymnast in NC State history to win three Gymnast of the Year awards in her career. Shepard was joined in the league's season-long awards by Negrete, who was selected as ACC Specialist of the Year.
