Pack Closes Regular Season With Win at George Washington Quad Meet

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The 19th-ranked NC State gymnastics team closed out the regular season with a win at the George Washington Quad Meet Friday evening at the Charles E. Smith Center, defeating Towson and Maryland, in addition to the Colonials.

The evening saw senior Lucy Lehman make her season debut on vault with a 9.775, while Brooke Smead competed in the beam lineup and matched her career-high 9.875. NC State tallied three individual victories: Chloe Negrete posted a season-best 9.900 on vault, Katie Harper scored a 9.875 on bars, and Negrete finished with a 9.950 on beam to win the event title. NC State also posted the highest score on bars and beam out of all the teams, and tied Towson for the highest score on floor.

Vault (49.200)
Meg Adler led off the vault lineup with a 9.850, followed by Ava Myers, who posted a season-best 9.850, tying for second with Adler. Negrete anchored the event with a 9.900 to claim the event title.

Bars (49.125)
On bars, NC State remained solid with Madeline Reid, Myers, and Caroline Volk each earning a 9.800. Elle Hadrick added a 9.850 for second place, and Harper rounded out the lineup with a 9.875 to win the event.

Beam (49.150)
Smead continued her strong contributions to the beam lineup, competing for the fourth consecutive meet and matching her career-high 9.875 to tie for second overall. Senior Peyton Childs followed with a season-best 9.800, and Negrete secured the win for NC State with a 9.950, marking her second victory of the evening.

Floor (49.200)
Adler started the rotation strong with a 9.825 and Hadrick later contributed the same score. Krista Zultevicz, Ashley Knight, and Negrete all posted 9.850 to finish the Pack's lineup.
