Pack to Face Two Ranked Opponents on the Road

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State volleyball team is set to face fourth-ranked Pitt and seventh-ranked SMU on the road for the next week of Atlantic Coast Conference play.

The Pack will head to Pittsburgh to face the Panthers on Friday, October 24 at 7pm. After meeting with Pitt, the Wolfpack will travel to Dallas to take on the Mustangs at 2pm on Sunday, October 26. Both matches will be streamed on ACCNX.

The Basics of the Matchup

NC State will visit Pittsburgh for the first time since 2022. The two teams will meet for the 19th time and Pitt leads the series, 16-2.
The last time the two programs met (Nov. '24), Pitt was ranked first in the country and the Pack hit a season low of 0.080.
The Pack will visit Dallas for the first of two meetings with the Mustangs this season. Sunday's meeting marks the sixth between the two programs and NC State holds the 3-2 advantage.
In the last meeting, the Pack defeated then 10th-ranked SMU in five sets - via reverse sweep - to help secure its spot in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

MWK Knows a Challenge When She Sees One

First year head coach Megan Wargo-Kearney has a 57.1 percent (16-of-28) success rate when it comes to challenges this season.
She holds a single match high of three successful challenges, something she has accomplished twice this season (Green Bay, Coastal Carolina).
It's clear MWK and Co. have an eye for when the 'C' should be thrown up. Although this is not a stat that the NCAA tracks, it's an interesting one to keep an eye on.
