CHARLOTTE, N.C. - NC State senior Grace Hartman has been named the ACC Cross Country Performer of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
This honor marks Hartman's second career ACC Performer of the Week honor, and her second major accolade in as many days. On Monday, she was named the Co-U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association National Athlete of the Week.
Hartman earned the weekly conference honor following a standout performance at the Nuttycombe Invitational, where she placed first in her season debut with a time of 19:30.0. She finished 4.6 seconds ahead of teammate Angelina Napoleon, who claimed second place in her own season debut. Hartman's victory along with having four teammates finish in the top 25 helped lead the Wolfpack women to their third team win of the season.
The week's award also marks the third time this season an NC State women's cross country runner has earned ACC Performer of the Week honors, with Hannah Gapes claiming the distinction twice not too long ago.
