Road Test in Front of Pack at TCU

FORT WORTH, Texas – The NC State women's basketball team will take on its first true road game of the season, as the No. 13/10 Wolfpack play at TCU on Sunday, Nov. 17. TCU has received votes in both polls and is expecting a big crowd at Schollmaier Arena for the 3 p.m. Eastern tipoff. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
SCOUTING NC STATE
- The Pack has started the season 2-1 after earning its way back into the win column with a 79-51 win over Kent State, marking NC State's 62nd straight home unranked non-conference win, 19th straight home non-conference win and 17th consecutive home unranked victory
- NC State checked in at No. 13 in the AP Poll and No. 10 in the WBCA Coaches Poll after the first week of games, having beaten ETSU (W, 80-55) and losing to No. 1/1 South Carolina (L, 71-57)
- The Pack has six players who average more than 6.0 points per game across the first three contests
- Through three games, the Pack is led by Aziaha James' 16.7 points per game, who is coming off surpassing 1,000 career points, and leads the team with 2.7 assists per game
- Saniya Rivers leads the Pack on the boards (6.3), blocks per game (1.7) and steals per game (2.0)
- Zamareya Jones has started the season 6-of-12 from beyond the arc and Zoe Brooks has averaged 16.0 points per game in her first two game appearances
- After three games, the Pack leads the ACC in least fouls per game (10.0), which leads the country
- From the Dallas area, head coach Wes Moore and sophomore Maddie Cox (Flower Mound) make their returns back to the Lone Star State this weekend
SCOUTING TCU
- TCU was picked to finish fourth in the 2024-25 Big 12 Women's Basketball Preseason Poll with 185 points
- The Horned Frogs finished 21-12 last season in head coach Mark Campbell's first season at the helm, turning around from an eight-win season the year prior. TCU made it to the second round of the NCAA WBIT before losing to Mississippi State, 68-61, last year
- Hailey Van Lith, LSU transfer, was picked to win the Big 12 Preseason Co-Newcomer of the Year, as well as chosen on the Preseason All-Big 12 Team. She averaged 11.6 points per game with 118 assists last season for the Tigers
- Sedona Prince has started out the season on a high note, leading the squad with 19.3 points and 8.0 rebounds per game along with a nation-leading 17 total blocks
- Van Lith leads the team with 22 assists and nine steals and has logged 17.0 points and 7.7 boards per game
- Madison Conner has tallied 14 3-pointers through three games
- The Horned Frogs are 3-0 to start the season
SERIES HISTORY (NC STATE LEADS SERIES 2-0)
- The Pack will play TCU for the first time since 2011
- NC State has the 2-0 edge over the Horned Frogs
- In the last meeting, NC State beat TCU 85-79 in Fort Worth on Nov. 11, 2011
- The first time these two teams met was in 2009, resulting in a 76-62 victory for the Pack at home

LAST TIME OUT
- The Pack got back on the winning column with a 79-51 victory over Kent State, a game NC State led the whole time (besides when the game was 14-14 in the first quarter)

- James reached a career milestone by surpassing 1,000 career points, becoming the 38th member of the 1K club at NC State. She led the game with 20 points, nine rebounds, four assists and no turnovers
- Jones earned her first career start, matching her career-high 16 points with three boards and three assists
- Mallory Collier went 4-of-4 from the field for eight points, while Madison Hayes logged nine points and eight boards and Rivers tallied six points, five boards, three assists and two steals
- All 11 available players scored, and Laci Steele led in bench points with seven
- The Pack dominated in the paint against the Flashes, outscoring Kent State 46-6 in the paint, as well as 18-11 in points off turnovers and 18-5 in fast breaks
