Men’s Tennis to Continue Fall Action at Duke James Bonk Invitational

RALEIGH - The NC State men's tennis squad is set to continue fall competition as it competes at the Duke James Bonk Invitational Friday, Sept. 17-Sunday, Sept. 19. The tournament will take place at the Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C.
Live stats and live stream will not be available for the weekend's matches. Draws and match times will be communicated on the program Twitter account (@PackMensTennis) as they are available.
LAST TIME OUT
Three members of the Wolfpack squad competed at the Cary ATP Challenger, all earning wildcard berths in the tournament. Freshman Luca Staeheli played a hard-fought match against Mukund Saskimar, ultimately falling 6-3, 5-7, 6-2.
The duo of Robin Catry and Damien Salvestre's spot in the tournament matched them up with the fourth-seeded pair, Christian Harrison and Dennis Novikov. Harrison and Novikov took the match 6-3, 6-4.
PACK IN THE RANKINGS
Rafa Izquierdo Luque egins his junior campaign as the only Wolfpack singles player in the preseason ITA rankings, checking in at 82nd. In the doubles rankings, Barkai and Shick tabbed a top-50 spot at No. 49.
Staeheli was named to the ITA's list of top-10 newcomers for 2021 at No. 3.
