FEATURED MATCHUPS
157: #2 Hayden Hidlay vs. #5 Quincy Monday
Hidlay just earned his third ACC Wrestler of the Week award, and is coming off a Southern Scuffle title that saw him go 5-0, all bonus point wins. He has three top-10 wins thus far, including a 10-0 major decision (with 4:47 of RT) over #7 Dellavecchia of Rider in his last match. Monday is from Chapel Hill, and his older brother (Kennedy) is the Tar Heel's starter at 165 pounds and their father (Kenny) was a 1988 Olympic Gold medalist. He was an NCAA Qualifier as a freshman last year, and this year he is 15-2 (4-0 in duals), and already has six top-10 wins (three in duals).
Â
184: #3 Trent Hidlay vs. Travis Stefanik
Hidlay is coming off only his second loss of the season, in the finals at the Southern scuffle. In his first season, he has already racked up three wins against top-10 foes. As a freshman last year at Princeton, Stefanik was an NCAA Qualifier after he was a top-25 recruit overall by FloWrestling. He is 4-4 this season, including a top-10 win over #10 Brands of Iowa (7-6).
Â
197: #8 Nick Reenan vs. #3 Patrick Brucki
Reenan missed the first six weeks of the season returning from ACL surgery, but got four matches under his belt at the Southern Scuffle. All three of his wins were for major decision in that tournament run before he defaulted out. Brucki placed fourth at the NCAA Championships after winning the EIWA conference title, as is a two-time NCAA Qualified overall. This year he is 10-2 and has claimed four ranked wins, including a pair of top-6 wins.

SERIES vs. PRINCETON
NC State and Princeton have not faced off in a dual in over 40 years! The two schools have only met twice prior with the Tigers winning each: 29-11 in 1977 and 24-12 in 1978. This will be the first-ever meeting in Raleigh.
