
Women’s Golf Remains In Seventh Through Two Rounds At Landfall Tradition

WILMINGTON, N.C. – NC State women's golf maintained its seventh-place position out of 18 teams at the Landfall Tradition at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, N.C., as it posted a seven-over par 295 in the second round for a combined 586 (+10) at the tournament.
No. 13 Alabama continues to pace the field (563, -10), while No. 9 South Carolina (574, -2) and Florida State (579, +3) round out the top three of the team standings.
Lea Klimentova fired a two-under 70 in round two, marking the third time this season she has turned in an under-par score. She started her round with a double bogey, then went on to card five birdies. She is in a tie for sixth place out of 96 players with a two-under 142.
Mim Sangkapong turned in a solid round of 72 (+1) to remain among the top 20 of the individual standings, as she is in a tie for 17th with a 145 (+1) for the weekend.
Monika Hartl stayed consistent with another three-over 75 and is T47th overall at 150 (+6) while Pilar Berchot shaved three strokes off her first round to shoot a 77 (+5) and improve six spots on the leaderboard to T75th with a 155 (+11).
Natalie Amrbruester rounded out the team's scoring with an 80, slipping to T61st with a combined 152 (+8).
NC State will conclude its fall season Sunday at the Landfall Tradition in an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start. It will tee off holes seven through nine with Indiana and No. 10 Michigan State.
