LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Junior Claudia Wiktorin & sophomore Anna Rogers stellar run at the 2017 Riviera/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Women's All-American Championships came to an end on Friday, when they fell in the quarterfinals at the Riviera Tennis Club.
Taking on ITA preseason No. 25 Hamlin & Kaitlyn McCarthy of Duke, No. 26 Wiktorin & Rogers were defeated 8-5.
Only the second doubles team in program history to make it to the main draw of the ITA All-American Championships, Wiktorin & Rogers defeated both the ITA preseason No. 4 & No. 16 ranked teams on route to the quarterfinals.
Despite today's loss, Assistant Coach David Secker was pleased with Wiktorin & Roger's accomplishments at the Championships.
"Overall a productive tournament," he said. "Early in the season to go up against the best in college tennis was encouraging to see where we are at and what we need to address as we come home to the practice courts to prepare for regionals.
