
NC State Men Remain In Top-Five After Day Three Of NCAA Championships

The team holds 27 All-America honors heading into the final day
Highlights
ATLANTA- Through three days of competition the NC State men's swimming and diving team has managed to hold onto its top-five placement among the standings, sitting in fourth place out of 40 teams with 197 points.
With potential to mark program history Saturday, the Wolfpack will look to battle with Texas, California and Florida the final day. The Longhorns lead with 366 points, while the Golden Bears are in second with 271 and the Gators sit in third with 255.
Hosted by Georgia Tech inside the McAuley Aquatic Center, the Wolfpack has collected 27 All-America honors and collectively broken nine school and conference records as a team after three days.
Wolfpack Relays
The 200 medley relay team of Hennessey Stuart, Derek Hren, Simonas Bilis and Ryan Held finished 10th in the event standings after stopping the clock at 1:24.28, as each garnered honorable mention All-America honors.
Freestyle
Bilis earned a third-place finish in the 200 freestyle to tab first team All-America honors with a time of 1:32.10. This marks his first honor in the event and 17th of his career.
Additionally Held and Soren Dahl pulled out a one, two finish in the B final of the 200 free, as Held posted a career-best time of 1:32.41 and Dahl touched the wall at 1:32.20. Their performances were enough for honorable mention All-America honors.
Backstroke
Hennessey Stuart posted a mark of 45.73 in the 100 backstroke to collect a seventh-place finish and first team All-America honors, marking the third honor of his career.
Andreas Schiellerup also represented the Pack in the event, as he finished 15th in the overall standings with a time of 46.12 to garner honorable mention All-America honors.

NC State will continue competition at the NCAA Championships in Atlanta Saturday. The team will return to action inside the McAuley Aquatic Center at 10 a.m., as live results and stream will be available for both sessions. Finals are set for a 6 p.m. start.
