Rohskopf has won eight straight matches, dating back to Dec. 6, and is a perfect 10-0 at 165 pounds this season (his lone loss was wrestling up at 174 pounds at Oklahoma State). Wilson is a three-time NCAA Qualifier, and knocked of the #2 overall seed last year. This year he is 11-2 in duals including four straight wins - including wins vs. both Penn State and Iowa. The two met last year in the dual in Reynolds, as Rohskopf scored a takedown in OT and won 5-3.
197: #17 Michael Boykin (14-5) vs. #11 Aaron Studebaker (15-6)
Boykin is the reigning ACC Wrestler of the week, after picking up wins over #25 Pittsburgh (3-2) and then #8 West Virginia (5-3, SV-2) last weekend. Boykin has won three straight duals - all wins vs. top-25 opponents, and his final three duals this season will all be vs. opponents ranked #11 or higher. Studebaker fell one win shy of All-America honors last season at 197 pounds, and he recently suffered narrow lossed to #1 Morgan McIntosh of Penn State (2-1, TB-1) and #3 Nathan Burak of Iowa (4-2) in dual action. This will be the first career matchup between the two.
Series vs. Nebraska
The weekend's matchup marks only the four between the two squads since NC State joined the ACC in 1955. Nebraska has won all four previous such meetings, including last year's 16-15 win in Raleigh and a 31-10 home win in 2010.
Last year vs. Nebraska
NC State pushed #7 Nebraska to the limit in a 16-15 defeat in Reynolds Coliseum in December. Both squads won five bouts on the day, but a Nebraska major decision at 157 was the lone bonus point win of the dual.
The Pack was down 16-9 going into the final two bouts. After a Michael Boykin win at 197 pounds, the Pack was looking for a bonus point win at 285 to close, but Nebraska fought off Nick Gwiazdowski's effort and succumbed just 8-2 leaving the Pack a point short in the overall team score.
Here is a look at how the current NC State probables did last year:
