Women's Tennis Opens Play at ITF Charleston 10K

The women's tennis team opened play at the ITF Charleston 10K tournament on Sunday, some matches postponed due to weather
CHARLESTON, S.C. – The NC State women's tennis team opened play at the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Charleston 10K on Sunday with the first round of singles qualifying draws.
Late-day play was abandoned due to weather. Matches have been postponed including the match-up between Bianca Moldovan and Lindsay Song (USA), which will resume Monday. At the time of abandonment Moldovan was down 5-7, 3-5.
Along with Moldovan, Martina Frantova and Claudia Wiktorin also represented the Pack at day one of the tournament.
Play at the ITF Charleston 10K will resume tomorrow with the second round of singles qualifying draws as well as the continuation of Sunday's postponed matches.

Martina Frantova (SVK) def. Dewonder Davis (USA) 6-0, 6-0
Ramya Natarajan (IND) def. Claudia Wiktorin (USA) 6-3, 6-1
Bianca Moldovan (USA) vs. Lindsay Song (USA) postponed due to weather
