NC State Wraps Up Duke Twilight

DURHAM, N.C. -- The Wolfpack track and field team wrapped up the Duke Twilight on Thursday night. In the final regular-season meet of the year, several Wolfpack student-athletes set new personal bests and moved up in the regional standings.
Jumps:
Javonne Antoine started the meet for the Pack in the women's triple jump. Antoine took fourth with a mark of 39'4.50".
In the men's high jump, student assistant, Kris Kornegay-Gober took first with a mark of 7'0.50", while representing Shore AC in the competition. During his time as a student-athlete at NC State, he was an All-American and a five-time ACC Champion in the high jump.
Throws:
Tremanisha Taylor competed in the shot put for the first time this season and took first place with a mark of 49'6.50". Taylor's mark is an ACC Championship qualifying mark and ranks 34th in the region and 6th in conference.
Alyssa Dunn took third and recorded a personal best in the same event with a mark of 46'3.25". Dunn has now picked up her second personal best in as many days. Yesterday, Dunn threw further than her previous best in the hammer throw by 11 feet.
Sprints:
Paisley Simmons took first in the 200m dash with a mark of 23.43, which set a new personal best for the sophomore. She shaved 0.2 seconds off her previous best, and moved up to third in conference standings and 19th in the region.
Mid-Distance:
In the 800m run, Megan Moye finished with a new personal best, coming in third with a time of 2:08.53. Moye slashes almost a second off of her previous personal best and moves from 19th to 16th in conference standings of the 800m.
On the men's side, John Wolfe led the Wolfpack runners with a mark of 1:52.35. Graham Crawford followed closely behind, crossing the finish line in 1:52.70.
