
No. 19 Wolfpack Finishes Strong In Puerto Rico

LADY PUERTO RICO CLASSIC RESULTS
RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico - Lindsay McGetrick fired a 68 to climb the standings and lead 19th-ranked NC State at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic.
As a team, NC State (+37) had its best day in the final round to finish the tournament strong. The Wolfpack combined for a 294 team score, 16 shots better than the previous day. NC State finished the tournament tied with Indiana for eighth place.
No player in the field was better than McGetrick on the final day. Her round of 68 tied for Tuesday's best mark with Hannah Kim of Northwestern. McGetrick (74-76-68--218) tied for eighth in the 82-player field.
"We fought hard today and we were able to move up the leaderboard a couple of spots," McGetrick said. "It was a good start and we are looking forward to improving each tournament throughout the spring."
Rachael Taylor (71-78-74--223) tied for 22nd and Cecily Overbey (74-77-77--228) tied for 34th. Vivian Tsui (78-79-75--232) and Stephanie Pribonic (81-82-79--242) rounded out the Pack's lineup.
Arkansas (+12) won the event by seven strokes over LSU (+19). Iowa State (+20) and Northwestern (+22) were third and fourth, respectively. Iowa State's Chonlada Chayanun (66-69-74--209) was the individual tournament medalist.
NC State's next appearance will be at the Suntrust Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla., from March 6-8.
