Martina Frantova completed the first round of play in singles and doubles competition at ITF Hilton Head 10K
HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Martina Frantova of the NC State women's tennis team completed day one of play at the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Hilton Head 10K tournament on Wednesday.
The Pack player competed in round one of singles and doubles main draw play, posting her seventh straight win in singles match-ups in the fall season. Frantova defeated Elixane Lechemia (France) 6-0, 7-6 (7-5).
Later in the day, Frantova and doubles partner No. 888 Alexandra Perper (Moldova) fell to Natalie Pluskota (USA) and No. 905 Caroline Price (USA) 3-6, 6-4, 10-7 in round one of doubles competition.
Frantova will continue play at the ITF Hilton Head 10K in round two of the singles main draw on Thursday facing off against Alexa Bortles (USA).
