
James Ties For 7th Overall At Cougar Classic

Final Tournament Results
HANAHAN, S.C. - Augusta James tied for seventh overall to lead the NC State women's golf team to ninth place at the Cougar Classic, which was hosted at Yeamans Hall in South Carolina.
The Wolfpack finished ninth among the 23 teams in the event, just five shots out of seventh place. Arkansas won the tournament, followed by UCLA and Duke.
James (70-66-74--210) averaged 70 for the three rounds and finished six shots under par. The seventh-place finish was the 10th top-10 showing of her college career. Vivian Tsui (70-72-76--218) tied for 26th and Rachael Taylor (73-73-74--220) tied for 33rd among the 120-player field.
Lindsay McGetrick (77-74-77--228) and Cecily Overbey (74-76-83--233) rounded out the Wolfpack lineup. Duke's Sandy Choi (69-68-68--205) won the individual title.
NC State's next tournament will be the Tar Heel Invitational Oct. 10-12 at Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, N.C.
