
NC State drops 1-0 decision at Clemson

CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson scored midway through the second half to top NC State, 1-0, in ACC women’s soccer action Sunday afternoon.
Jenna Polonsky kicked in a rebounded shot just over the goal line for her third tally of the season, and the game winner at the 72:26 mark of the match.
NC State (5-13, 0-9 ACC) mustered up 12 shots, and one final attempt by sophomore Cheyenne Spade was grabbed by Tigers goalie Morgan Hert in the final minutes to keep her clean sheet intact.
NC State keeper Victoria Hopkins and Hert both made five saves in the match to keep things close throughout the afternoon.
NC State hosts its final game of the season against North Carolina on Thursday at 7 p.m.
