
Brooke Baker Ties Career-Best Finish at Challenge

WESTON, FLA. - Led by Brooke Baker’s final round 70 (-2), NC State women’s golf rebounded to finish sixth at the Sir Pizza Cards Challenge Tuesday at the par-72, 6,106 yard Weston Hills G.C.
Baker made up 22 spots on over the final round, tying her career-best with a share of 15th, thanks to posting one of the day’s six lowest scores. Four players in the field of 78 fired 70s, with only Olivia Dose of Cinncinati’s 69 and Nina Muehl of ETSU’s 68 breaking that mark.
The Wolfpack carded a 295 (+7), its best round of the week, to rise from 11th into a tie for sixth out of 14 teams.
Brittany Marchand improved by 10 places, grabbing a share of 27th with her 74 (+2). Maureen Dunnagan finished alongside Marchand in 27th after a final round 78 (+6).
Amanda Baker and Ana Menendez also moved up over the final 18 holes. Baker climbed seven spots to 35th with her 76 (+4), while Menendez captured a share of 37th on a 75 (+3).
Playing as an individual, Hayley Hammond finished with a 78 (+6) to close in a tie for 62nd.
