TAMPA, Fla. – Lindsay Campana (4-1) picked up 10 K’s and allowed just three hits as NC State blanked Michigan State 4-0 for its third shutout win of the season and second in as many days. The Wolfpack continues its dominance of the Spartans, moving the all-time series to 4-0.

Lauren Kramer (2-4) suffered the loss, allowing four earned runs in 4.2 innings of work. Kelly Confer tossed the final inning and a third.

NC State moves to 6-4 with the victory, while MSU slides to 3-6.

Landon Warren led the Pack at the plate with a 2-for-4 performance, while Stephanie Call punched in two RBIs.

Breanna Andrews saved a run in the top of the first with a leaping stab to haul in a Jessica Bracamonte liner that would have scored Ali Grant from second.

The Pack had a chance to score in the bottom of the first as Warren roped a single into left and a pitch hit Alyssa Allbritten, but both were left stranded on base.

The Spartans had a premium scoring opportunity in the top of the fifth with runners on second and third and just one out. But Campana struck out Melanie Bensema and Jayme O’Bryant grounded out to third base.

The Pack took care of all of its scoring in the bottom of the fifth. Andrews singled through the right side and Warren legged out an infield single. Allbritten then walked and a pitch hit Claudia Cooper with the bases loaded, handing NC State the first run of the game.

Call followed Cooper by clocking a two-run single into center, pushing the Pack ahead at 3-0. With that, Michigan State lifted Kramer for Confer, who allowed another run to score with a wild pitch on her first delivery to the plate.

NC State will return to the diamond with six games at the prestigious NFCA Leadoff Classic in Columbus, Ga., Feb. 26-28.
