No. 32 Women's Golf Places 4th at Qdoba Invitational

MIAMI LAKES, Fla. - The 32nd-ranked NC State women's golf team finished fourth at the Qdoba Invitational at Don Shula’s Golf Resort.
The Pack shot a team score of +18 (306) during Tuesday’s final round to finish up at +39 (294-304-306=904). Georgia State won the tournament at +27 (891).
Senior Lauren Doughtie was again the Wolfpack’s top finisher, posting her second straight and 10th career top-10 showing. The Suffolk, Va., native fired a three-over 75 today to finish the event tied for fourth at +7 (72-76-75=223).
Junior Joanna Saleeby earned her best collegiate finish by tying for 12th overall at +9 (72-75-78=225).
Junior Emily Street tied for 18th at +12 (73-77-78=228) after a six-over 78 in the last round of the 54-hole tournament.
Sophomore Julie Saleeby finished strong with a three-over 75 today to finish tied for 22nd at +14 (78-77-75=230).
Freshman Meghan Chapman placed in a tie for 31st at +17 (77-76-80=233).
Playing as individuals, junior Kathleen Strandberg tied for 43rd at +21 (77-81-79=237), while freshman Hunter Ross tied for the fifth best round of the day with a season-best round of two-over 74, moving up 13 places in the field to place 50th at +22 (81-83-74=238).
Cindy LaCrosse (Louisville), who began the day in a three-way tie for the lead, shot even par to earn the title with a score of +2 (218).
NC State is off from competition the next few weeks in preparation for its annual trip down to the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic in Baton Rouge, La. The three-day event runs March 13-15 at The University Club.
