Silver and Francom Pace Pack in Thrilling Five-Set Win Over Wofford

RALEIGH, N.C. – In a gritty, five-set battle at Reynolds Coliseum, the NC State volleyball team outlasted Wofford 3–2 to improve to 4–1 on the season.
Freshman outside hitter Britni Silver led the way with a match- and career-high 25 kills, while sophomore middle blocker Talia Francom tallied a career-high 12 total blocks to pace the Pack defensively.
Set-By-Set Summary
One: Wofford came out strong, hitting .286 as a team. Natalie Arnold led the attack with six kills in the set, helping Wofford capture the opening frame, 25-20.
Two: NC State responded behind Rebecca Ring's five set-kills, capitalizing on Wofford's hitting errors (-.034 hit percentage) to equalize the match. The Pack took the second set, 25-17.
Three: The Wolfpack maintained momentum with a strong 15-kill performance, sparked by Britni Silver's seven kills in the set. The Pack took the set, 25-19, and took a 2-1 lead in the match.
