RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State volleyball team defeated Charlotte 3-2 Sunday afternoon in the final match of the Summit Hospitality Tournament. After Charlotte pulled ahead 2-0 by taking two tight opening sets, NC State engineered a reverse sweep by dominating the final three frames.

Match Notes

Jordan Smith posted a .410 hitting percentage on the afternoon after recording 17 kills on 39 attempts with just one error. She also added four blocks and two digs to the box score.
Smith earned All-Tournament Team and MVP after finishing the weekend with 36 kills and a .395 hitting percentage. Britni Silver earned All-Tournament team after finishing with 51 kills on the weekend.
Britni Silver and Eva Long were stellar from the service line, recording three aces each.
Clara Vondran entered the fourth set and made an immediate impact at the net. She finished the afternoon with eight kills.
NC State out performed Charlotte in kills (61-55), blocks (13.0-9.0) and service aces (14-7).
The win marks the 836th victory in program history and the 20th under head coach Megan Wargo-Kearney.
