Football to Debut Wolfpack Warriors Uniform for 9/11 Home Opener

Wolfpack Football will honor the proud military tradition of NC State University and the state of North Carolina with a special "Wolfpack Warriors" uniform in 2026. The black camo uniform is a part of Adidas' "Honor & Support" series.
NC State's deep-rooted military heritage dates back to its 1887 founding as a land-grant institution. The most iconic structure on campus - the Memorial Belltower - was built to honor those who have fallen in military conflict. The swords etched into the top of the tower's granite walls are symbolized by the crossed swords emblem on one sleeve of the black camo uniform, while the other proudly displays an American flag.
The university is home to robust ROTC programs for the Army, Air Force and Navy/Marine Corps. The Army ROTC unit at NC State has produced 2,500 Army officers and numerous flag officers. The university's Air Force ROTC boasts a 100% selection rate for officer slots and has provided flying opportunities to the next generation of leaders, while the Naval ROTC is the largest in the state.
Earlier this week, NC State University and the United States Army established a new strategic partnership designed to strengthen innovation, workforce development and collaboration across a range of disciplines. The agreement builds on NC State's long history of working with the U.S. military and identifies new opportunities for the university and Army to create shared value and develop practical solutions in service to North Carolina and the nation.
The state's proud contributions to the nation's military are represented in the Wolfpack Warriors uniform as well. The seven stars inside the collar of the jersey symbolize the seven major military installations that find their home in North Carolina: Fort Liberty (Army), Camp Lejeune (Marine Corps), Cherry Point Air Station (Marine Corps), New River Air Station (Marine Corps), Seymour Johnson Air Force Base (Air Force), Pope Airfield (Army) and the Coast Guard Base in Elizabeth City.
The Wolfpack squad will debut the uniforms in the home opener vs. Richmond on the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks in honor of those who have served.
