Six Wolfpack Athletes Bound for NCAA Track & Field Championships

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State track & field team will send six athletes to compete at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon. The meet is set for June 10-13, 2026, with the Wolfpack having athletes compete on the last three days.

Friday - Triple Jump (Final) 8:10 PM ET
Saturday - 1500m (Final) 8:12 PM ET, Steeplechase (Final) 8:24 PM ET & 5000m (Final) 9:55 PM ET

NC State Qualifiers
Ryan John advanced in the triple jump after finishing 10th with a mark of 15.87m.
Sadie Engelhardt ran a time of 4:15.25 in the first round of the 1500m to advance to quarterfinals. She followed that performance by winning her heat in 4:10.62, punching her ticket to nationals.
Angelina Napoleon qualified after winning her heat in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 9:43.40 to finish fourth overall.
Kate Putman was not far behind Napoleon, as in just her third-ever steeplechase event, she finished second in her heat, crossing the finish line in a personal-best 9:48.34.
Hannah Gapes ran a personal-best time of 15:38.62 in the 5000m to qualify for nationals.
Bethany Michalak also qualified for the 5000m, finishing with a time of 15:44.92.
