Gapes Heads to Portland Track Festival Following NCAA Championship Season

RALEIGH, N.C. - Hannah Gapes is set to compete in the 1500m at the Portland Track Festival on Sunday, June 21.
Gapes enters the meet following a standout outdoor season that ended with a trip to the NCAA Championships.
Over the course of the season, she competed in six meets, opening with an eighth-place finish in the 5000m at Raleigh Relays. She went on to place seventh in her section of the 1500m at the Stanford Invitational, fifth in the 5000m at the ACC Championships, seventh in the 5000m at the NCAA East First Round and 11th in the 5000m at the NCAA Championships.
She was also a member of NC State's 4x1500m relay team that took home first place at Penn Relays.
At the Stanford Invitational, Gapes clocked a personal-best 1500m time of 4:11.37, moving to No. 6 on NC State's all-time performance list.
