Three Wolfpack Athletes Advance to Saturday Championship Finals

EUGENE, OR - The NC State women opened competition at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in impressive fashion, as all three Wolfpack athletes in action advanced to Saturday's championship finals.
In the 1500m semifinal, Sadie Engelhardt earned her spot in the final with a runner-up finish in her heat, crossing the line in 4:06.62.
The Wolfpack also saw success in the 3000m steeplechase, with both Angelina Napoleon and Kate Putman earning spots in the championship race.
Napoleon secured an automatic qualifying position after placing second in her eat with a time of 9:39.44.
Putman delivered a personal-best performance of 9:44.42 to advance to Saturday's final, completing a perfect day for the Wolfpack.
The 1500m final is scheduled for 8:12 p.m. ET on Saturday, followed by the 3000m steeplechase final at 8:34 p.m. ET.
