RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State and UNCW will meet for the second time this season as the Wolfpack hosts the Seahawks on Tuesday, April 7th, at 6 p.m. from Doak Field. NC State aims to sweep the season series after defeating UNCW 14-2 in seven innings earlier this season in Wilmington.
Last season, the two programs split their meetings, with each winning at the other's ballpark. The last 10 meetings have been close, with NC State holding a 6-4 edge, and the Wolfpack is 30-7 at Doak Field against the Seahawks. Overall, NC State leads the series 79-23.
In 2025, NC State was 9-4 against in-state opponents. Since taking over the program in 1997, head coach Elliott Avent has led the Pack to a 371-122 (.659) record against in-state foes.
This season, the Wolfpack will face 10 in-state opponents. They are currently 2-2 after beating Queens and UNCW and losing to Elon and Campbell.
