No. 7 Seed Wolfpack to Face Host, No. 2 Seed Michigan in NCAA Tournament Round of 32

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The NC State women's basketball team is back in the NCAA Tournament Round of 32 for the eighth time in the last nine tournaments, set to face No. 2 seed, No. 9/8 Michigan. The matchup, a part of the Fort Worth Region 3, will tipoff on primetime on Sunday, March 22 at 1 p.m. on ABC at the Crisler Center. Sunday's winner will advance to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16, a stage NC State has been on for six of the last seven tournaments.
NCAA TOURNAMENT HISTORY
- ​​The Wolfpack is playing in its 31st NCAA Tournament
- This is the Pack's ninth straight NCAA Tournament, which is a school record for the most consecutive appearances, all under head coach Wes Moore
- This is the Pack's fifth time being a No. 7 seed, with its record being 3-2. NC State's record vs. No. 2 seeds is 3-5
- This year is the Pack's first time since 2023 and second time in the last six tournaments (not including bubble year) NC State will play its first game in the tournament away from Raleigh
- This year marks Coach Moore's 10th NCAA Tournament appearance at NC State and 26th in his career

- NC State saw two players on the All-ACC First Team with Khamil Pierre and Zoe Brooks. Both were unanimous first team selections by the Blue Ribbon Panel and the league's head coaches. This marks the third straight year Moore has landed two or more players on the All-ACC First Team and 10th of the last 11 he has had at least one on the first team
