RALEIGH, N.C. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its prestigious Thirty Under 30 honorees, with NC State associate head coach Jeremiah Gonidakis earning a spot on this year's list.
He joins just three other Power Four coaches on the list this year — Jack Burton (Auburn), Emily Hill (Purdue) and Taylor Van Der Biezen (Miami).
The Thirty Under 30 Award honors up-and-coming coaches at all levels of volleyball — including club, high school and college — with recipients serving in a variety of roles ranging from head coach to volunteer assistant to club director. Nominees had to be under 30 years old as of Dec. 31, 2025, to qualify.
"Working alongside Jeremiah for the past four years has truly been a privilege. He is wise beyond his years and provides tremendous value every day into our program," said head caoch Megan Wargo-Kearney. "He is a tireless worker who cares deeply about the success and well-being of our players, and this recognition is a perfect reflection of the standard he sets. He has earned the respect of his peers and his players alike through his integrity and passion for the game. I couldn't be happier to see the AVCA recognize what we've known in Raleigh for a long time."
Gonidakis has been integral to the success of the Wolfpack volleyball program over the last four years. Since arriving in Raleigh in the spring of 2022, he has served as the program's offensive coordinator in addition to working closely with the setters.
Under his guidance, the Pack defeated then-No. 5 Louisville in four sets in 2023, marking the program's first-ever top-five victory. A year later, the 2024 squad defeated No. 10 SMU and earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Gonidakis has also helped develop standout offensive players, including All-American Amanda Rice and outside hitter Courtney Bryant, who led the Pack offensively in 2025. He also played a key role in the development of setter Naomi Cabello, who was selected first overall in the 2024 Puerto Rican Pro League Draft.
Prior to moving to Raleigh, he spent two years as a graduate assistant at Nebraska, where he was a member of the Huskers' staff during the 2020 Elite Eight run and the 2021 National Championship match appearance.
