
Three Named to All-ACC Academic Women’s Golf Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Three NC State women's golfers have been tabbed to the 2025 All-ACC Academic Women's Golf Team. Jaclyn Kenzel, Marie Eline Madsen and Caitlin Whitehead were three of the 74 recipients on the league's all-academic team.
Kenzel made a spot on the ACC All-Academic Team for the first time, finishing her academic career with a 3.583 GPA in the spring and graduating with a Master of Engineering Management. She played in eight of 11 tournaments, logging a 77.61 scoring average. Her best performance of her career came at the Daniel Island Invitational, in which she tallied a tie for 15th place, and she also logged two rounds at par or better.
Madsen is coming off a historical freshman season, while also excelling in the classroom. As a management first year student, she tallied a 3.4 GPA in the spring. Madsen played in 12 tournaments, including at the NCAA Championship in which she qualified as an individual. She led the squad with a 71.23 scoring average to break a school record and 22 rounds at par or better with 11 rounds in the 60s. The Viborg, Denmark native earned two wins and placed in the top 10 on eight different occasions. Madsen was also named a WGCA Second Team All-America selection and Golfweek Third Team choice.
Whitehead became a third-time recipient on the ACC All-Academic Team, finishing out her collegiate career on a strong note with a 3.949 spring GPA. The Kendal, England native graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration. On the course, Whitehead played in eight of 11 tournaments, logging a 76.96 scoring average. She tied for 34th to begin the season at the Cavalier Regional Preview, and also had a hole-in-one on that course at the NCAA Charlottesville Regional.
The 2024-25 NC State women's golf season has come to a close. The 2025-26 schedule will be released at a later date in the summer.
