
Wolfpack Women to begin 2025 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships

FEDERAL WAY, WA- The No. 10 NC State Women's Swimming team gets set to compete in the 2025 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, marking the conclusion of the 2024-2025 season. This year's championship will take place at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, WA, from Wednesday, March 19, to Saturday, March 22.

Last year, nine members qualified for NCAAs with placing ninth overall. This year, thirteen members of the Wolfpack Women have qualified for nationals. Freshman Leah Shackley, after an outstanding debut at the ACC Championships earning herself four medals. Shackley takes the No. 3 in the 200 backstroke, No. 4 seed in the 100 butterfly, and No. 6 in the 100 backstroke.
Freshman Erika Pelaez also made a strong showing, earning the No. 8 seed in both the 100 and 200 backstroke events. Junior Kennedy Noble is right behind, claiming the No. 10 seed in the 100 backstroke and No. 11 seed in the 200 backstroke.
Returning to the big stage are seasoned competitors Kennedy Noble, Grace Sheble, Tyler Driscoll, and Annabel Crush. Last season, Noble made her mark with a second-place finish in the 200 backstroke and a third-place finish in the 100 backstroke, earning All-American honors. She also placed 9th in the 200 IM, setting a new program record. Annabel Crush earned two All-American distinctions last season, finishing 6th in the 400 medley relay and 12th in the 400 freestyle relay.
Making their NCAA debut include freshmen: Leah Shackley, Erika Pelaez, Lisa Nystrand, and Lily Christianson. Earning their spot on the squad these freshmen have demonstrated strength across a variety of events, solidifying their place among the nation's elite swimmers.
