
#5 Pack Men’s Tennis Hosts Florida State and Miami

RALEIGH – Fifth-ranked NC State men's tennis returns home to continue hosting conference play this weekend with Florida State and Miami. The match with the Seminoles is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Friday and the match with the Hurricanes is slated for 12 p.m. on Sunday.
Dual-Match Info
• All tennis matches are played at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center on NC State's campus in Raleigh and are free of charge for fans to attend.
• Parking for fans is available at West Deck off of Varsity Drive across the street.
Florida State
• Start time for the match is slated for 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 14 and is set to be played outdoors.
• Free Chick-Fil-A nuggets will be given away to fans while supplies last and those in attendance will be able to enter a raffle to win a prize pack.

Miami
• Start time for the match is slated for noon on Sunday, March 16 and is set to be played indoors.

Series History with Florida State (trails 8-29)
• Friday's dual-match marks the 38th meeting between the Wolfpack and the Seminoles. Florida State leads the series between the two with 21 wins over NC State
• The two last faced each other last season (March of 2024) in Raleigh which resulted in a 4-3 win for the Wolfpack. The Seminoles went on to win the ACC Championship in May.
Series History with Miami (trails 11-16)
• Sunday's dual-match marks the 28th meeting between the Wolfpack and the Hurricanes. Miami leads the series over NC State with five wins.
• The two last faced each other in April of 2024 in Coral Gables which resulted in a 4-3 win for the Wolfpack.
Last Time Out
NC State defeated No. 5 Virginia and Virginia Tech on the road. The win over fifth-ranked Virginia marked the fourth top-10 win of the season for the Pack.

• A doubleheader win to open the season made the Pack 8-0 in winning season premiere matches with head coach Kyle Spencer at the helm of the program.
Team Highlights
• After defeating No. 9 Mississippi State by a 4-1 score on the road, the team qualified for ITA National Team Indoors for the first time since the 2020 season. The win marked the first top-10 win for the program since the 2022 season.
• A strong opening performance at the ITA Team Indoor Championships allowed NC State to take down No. 8 Kentucky by a 4-1 score, marking the second top-10 win of the season.
• Displaying resilience and determination at home, the Pack defeated No. 6 Stanford 4-2 at home playing on indoor courts, marking the third top-10 win of the season.
• The team moved up to No. 6 in the rankings on March 4, tying for the program's best-ever ranking, the last time was in March of 2020.
• Most recently after defeating No. 5 Virginia and tallying the fourth top-10 win of the season, the team landed fifth in the ITA rankings, marking the highest team ranking in program history.
Individual Highlights
• The Pack holds three players ranked in singles (No. 24 Braden Shick, No. 41 Martin Borisiouk, and No. 55 Luca Staeheli) and two pairs ranked in doubles (No. 8 Braden Shick & Fons Van Sambeek and No. 12 Jules Leroux & Luca Staeheli).
• Going undefeated in doubles and singles against No. 21 Harvard, LSU, and No. 9 Mississippi State all in the same week, Jules Leroux and Luca Staeheli claimed all of the ACC Weekly Awards as announced by the conference office on Tuesday, January 28. Staeheli was named Player of the Week, Leroux was named Freshman of the Week and the two together were named the Doubles Team of the Week.
• Braden Shick earned his first conference weekly honor of the season when he was named ACC Player of the Week on February 11 for his dominant victory over No. 20 Paul Inchauspe.
• After going undefeated in singles and doubles and making huge contributions to win three straight matches over UNC Greensboro, No. 22 California, and No. 6 Stanford in just five days, Jules Leroux and Luca Staeheli racked up more ACC Weekly Awards. Leroux was named Freshman of the Week while Staeheli was Player of the Week on Tuesday, March 4.
• Martin Borisiouk took home his well-deserved ACC Player of the Week honor on Tuesday, March 11 after he upset his opponent to clinch the team's win over No. 5 Virginia on the road.
