
No. 18 NC State to Host No. 24 UNC in Annual Red Out Meet

RALEIGH, N.C. – No. 18 NC State is set to host No. 24 North Carolina (UNC) on Friday, Feb. 21, at 7 p.m. at Reynolds Coliseum in its annual Red Out meet, where fans are encouraged to wear red to show their support as the team faces off against in-state ACC rival UNC.
THE SERIES
The Wolfpack last faced the Tar Heels on Jan. 24, securing their first ACC win of the season with a 196.350-195.925 victory. The win marked NC State's fourth consecutive triumph over UNC.
UNC, ranked No. 24 this week, is making its fifth straight appearance in the top 25. The Tar Heels are ranked 25th nationally on vault (48.87), 30th on bars (48.925), 18th on beam (49.0), and 42nd on floor (48.84).
THE LAST TIME THEY MET
Kailee Adomaites earned third place on bars with a career-high 9.875, while Lauren Wright posted a career-best 9.825 on vault, tying for third with Chloe Negrete. Ashley Knight claimed second place on vault with a 9.850, and Krista Zultevicz recorded a season-best 9.825 on floor. Negrete shined on floor, winning first place with a stunning 9.925, a season high. Additionally, Ava Myers matched her career-best 9.800 on bars, contributing to NC State's strong performance.

NC State is currently ranked 18th in the nation, 20th on vault and floor, 23rd on beam, and 26th on floor. Chloe Negrete has been named ACC Specialist of the Week for the third time this season, as announced by the league.
ACC WEEKLY HONOR
Chloe Negrete earned ACC Specialist of the Week honors for the third time this season following an explosive floor routine that helped NC State clinch the win over Clemson. She posted a 9.775 on vault, contributing to an early team lead. On beam, she recorded a 9.850, finishing in third, and then delivered a season-high 9.925 on floor to tie for first. Negrete now ties teammate Ashley Knight for the most podium finishes this season, with 14 total podium appearances, including five first-place finishes.
LAST TIME OUT
NC State secured a road win over Clemson, posting a 196.050 to Clemson's 195.950. Katie Harper matched her season-best score of 9.900 to claim the bars event title, while Ava Myers recorded a 9.850 on bars, tying her career high.
Ashley Knight took the vault title with a 9.850. Meg Adler matched her season-high score of 9.800, and Lauren Wright posted a 9.800, tying her career best in her fourth appearance of the season.
On floor, Meg Adler tied her season-best with a 9.850. Elle Knight added a 9.800, and Ashley Knight posted a 9.875 to help the Pack maintain its lead. Negrete anchored the event with a season-high 9.925, tying for first place with Clemson's Brie Clark. On beam, Negrete earned a 9.850, placing third in the event.
