
NC State Set to Compete in Four Road Meets

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State track and field team is set to compete in four road meets on Feb. 14-15. The Wolfpack will participate in the Boston University David Hemery Valentine Invitational (Boston), Liberty University Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational (Lynchburg, Va.), Clemson University Tiger Paw Invite (Clemson, S.C.), and Boston College Eagle Invite (Boston).

Camel City Invitational
The distance crew competed at the JDL Fast Track, where Kate Putman and Angelina Napoleon dominated in the 800 meters. Putman won the event with a time of 2:09.17, ranking No. 5 on NC State's all-time indoor list. Napoleon placed second at 2:11.13, securing the No. 6 spot.
The duo continued their success in the 3,000 meters, finishing first and second. Putman clocked a career-best 9:31.91 for the win, while Napoleon finished close behind at 9:34.18.
On the men's side, Kevin (last name missing) won the 3,000 meters with a career-best 8:02.26, moving to No. 10 on the program's all-time indoor list. Ryan Motondo competed in the mile, finishing in 4:16.87.
Doc Hale Invitational
Patrick Tuohy set a personal best in the 800 meters, running 1:48.41 to claim the No. 1 spot on NC State's all-time indoor list. He placed fifth in the event.
In field events, Ta'Honny Exum posted a season-best 14.31 meters (46 feet, 11.5 inches) in the shot put, finishing seventh.
In the weight throw, Makala Wright placed seventh with a mark of 18.17 meters (59 feet, 7.5 inches), and Sydney Freeman finished eighth at 17.80 meters (58 feet, 4.75 inches).
